Inside Flap

Kathy Dorsey and her husband Terry, along with their Yorkshire Terrier named Jeeves, live in Summerfield, FL.

They moved to central Florida from Lincoln, California in 2017.

While she lived in Lincoln, Kathy wrote a weekly column called Just in from Jeeves for the Lincoln News Messenger and her blog.

In 2019, many of those columns were compiled and published in Just Jeeves – Life Lessons from the end of a short leash.

While Terry and Jeeves were born and raised in California. Kathy was born in Toronto, Canada. She attended Trent University in Peterborough, Ontario. In 1980, Kathy’s employer transferred her to Orlando, FL from Toronto.

Since then, she has lived in many U.S. and Canadian cities including Longwood, Daytona Beach, Chicago, Walnut Creek, Brampton, Whitby, Peterborough and Toronto.

Both Kathy and Terry are avid readers. Other authors and their books inspire Kathy to write. Two books, in particular, had a big impact on her.

The first book was Stephen Leacock’s Sunshine Sketches of a Little Town which she read in the eighth grade. The second book was Richard Needham’s Needham Inferno which she received as a fifteenth birthday gift from her aunt, Gweneth Myke.
