Poets Club of Lincoln Poetry Contest

Alan Lowe, Contest Coordinator reports the 19th Annual Voice of Lincoln poetry contest, “The Five Ws Of Life,” is now open to receive entries.  

Like last year, this year’s contest features 5 categories. However, the categories are different this year.  They include:

“Who” Is The Most Important Person In Your Life?

“What” Is Your Most Cherished Memory?

“Where” Do You Want To Be Tomorrow?

“When” Did You Do Something That Made A Difference In Someone’s Life?

Poets may submit a maximum of 3 poems with 1 poem in 1 of 3 categories. 

There is no entry fee. 

Poems should be written in English and may be in rhyme, free verse, Haiku or other accepted poetry forms and may be of any length, up to a maximum of 60 lines.

Young Poets, 18-years and under, are encouraged to submit poems and will compete in a special “Young Poets” category.

The contest deadline is Thursday, July 21, 2022.
